No. The G5 is designed for use by both trained and untrained responders. Clear voice prompts and RescueCoach™ instruction guide users through each stage of the rescue. However, training can help users feel more confident in an emergency.

A fully automatic AED will analyse the patient's heart rhythm and automatically deliver a shock if one is required. Unlike a semi-automatic AED, no shock button needs to be pressed by the rescuer.

Yes. The G5 can be used on children aged 8 years and under, or weighing less than 25kg, when used with compatible paediatric defibrillation pads. Paediatric pads are sold separately.

The Intellisense™ lithium battery has a standby life of up to 4 years from the date of installation, while the adult defibrillation pads have a shelf life of up to 2 years. Always refer to the expiry date displayed on the battery and pads.
